OK, here’s a question. Over in my Wide Margin guise I have just published what I think is a wonderful book. It’s a discipleship and church planting manual from the house church in Japan, and I think it can and should benefit quite a wide audience. I’ve tried a number of ways to promote it so far, but I’m sure there’s more I can be doing, so I want to try asking the audience:
So far I have raved about it here, on Twitter and on Facebook, and I’ve sent review copies to general Christian magazines, (Christianity Today, Christianity) people involved in house churches, and people involved in mission in Japan. (Even though the book isn’t particularly Japan-specific.) I’ve also told people who want copies to try asking their local Christian book store first. I’ve put a sample chapter online, and there are previews on Google Books and Amazon.
I know these are the standard ways to market books, pretty much, but at the same time I don’t claim to know everything. What else can I be doing to get word out?
