We went to the V&A yesterday to have a look around their scultures, 20th century art, Japanese collections, huge plaster casts and, of course, Saint John’s Bible exhibition, which made me go weak at the knees. The thing is astonishingly beautiful. They only had a few pages from the Prophets volume on display, and were selling the Psalms volume, but I was a good boy and displayed restraint.
Then a trip round the Science Museum and dinner with some of H’s friends in Streatham. (The longest high street in the UK, I’m told.) Sleeping over on the floor of the assistant curate of St Ann’s last night, and the morning found me doing kids work for them. Japanese church in the afternoon and then crawling back and heading for bed…
